Book on divorce launched

A 130-page book that highlights the alarming rate of cases of divorce and separation in modern times has been launched in Accra.

The book entitled, “The Christian Woman”, is authored by Mrs Patricia Sappor, a Reverend Minister of the Action Chapel International (ACI), Accra, who is a marriage counsellor and a banker.

Challenges in marriage

Speaking at the launch, Mrs Sappor said as a pre and post marriage counsellor, she was privy to a lot of challenges women faced in their marriages.

She stated that some of the issues made her extremely uncomfortable and she felt there was the need to share the experience with other women to encourage and assure them that all was well.

Mrs Sappor reiterated that she was inspired by the Holy Spirit in a dream to write and encourage Christian women on relevant and sensitive issues that confront their relationships.

Inspiration

“I do not have any shred of doubt that this book, having been inspired by the Holy Spirit, will be a blessing to many families and transcend this generation,” she said.

The Chairperson for the ceremony, Mrs Peggy Dzodzomenyo, advised Ghanaians to read the book for tips to enrich their marital homes.

“There is a lot to be done to address marital challenges that the Christian wife deals with on a daily basis and there is, therefore, the need to continue holding the family values together,” she added.
