According to the Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mrs Afia Tenge, the two were spotted around the Agbogbloshie Market in Accra last Tuesday with two huge jute sacks.
The police, on suspicion, querried the suspects and later found out that the sacks contained some items, including regalia typically worn by chiefs and queen mothers.

It included traditional sandals, pieces of wax prints, artificial gold-plated ornaments, swords, hand bands, headgears and necklaces.
When the suspects were questioned, they could not provide tangible answers as they fumbled with their responses.
Appeal
Mrs Tenge said the police suspected the items might have been stolen.
And after further interrogation at the Accra Central Police, the suspects confirmed that the items were stolen from Kasoa.
They could not, however, tell the exact place they stole the items from as they were inconsistent with their claims.
Mrs Tenge, therefore appealed to the public, especially persons who have lost items of such nature, to report at the Accra Regional Police Command or contact the nearest police station.
