The Mfantsiman Old Girls Association (MOGA) has inducted a new team of executives, marking the commencement of the ninth administration of the association.

Appreciation, new vision

In her inaugural address, the President of MOGA, Mrs Amissah, eulogised and expressed gratitude to the previous administrations, saying, “All these leaders have put in a lot of hard work to make our alma mater and association stand tall for generations.

“The foundation laid has been one of unwavering dedication, excellence and service despite the challenges they had to overcome,” she said.

She indicated that although the past administrations had worked to lift the image of the school, the greatness of the institution must not rely on past glories, but use them as stepping stones towards an even brighter future.

The President of MOGA highlighted that as part of their vision, the MOGA, “will harness the power of technology to connect with one another, expand opportunities, and enhance the impact of our association beyond the school walls”.

“We will encourage a culture of giving back, knowing that the success we enjoy today is a gift from those who paved the way before us,” she gave an assurance.

Proposal

For his part, the Guest Speaker, Mr Baiden Jnr, urged MOGA to adopt a structured and well-coordinated alumni network similar to that of MOBA, which fostered continuity, mentorship and development and ensured that each cohort remained connected and active contributors to the school’s development.

He also urged MOGA to adopt a “strategic business plan to guide the operations of the association, to ensure structured growth, financial sustainability and impactful initiatives that align” with the MOGA’s long-term vision.

The Ebusuapanyin of MOBA congratulated the new administration and called for a greater bond between MOGA and MOBA through the establishment of joint Leadership and Alumni Engagement Programmes.
