Poem: A hanging pain
Novel, splashed on the earth’s surface
Lingering, nobody dares stand in your path
Where did you come from?
As a child I ask, emotions tattered
When will you be wiped away?
Why are you always planning evil?
Grabbed many a person’s attention
All of a sudden
We had to change all of our intentions
Close down our favourite places
To curb your spread and
Wipe out your deadly footprints
Ruined our schooling days
Pounded our schedules
To a pulp
I wonder why
You had to use silent force to
Lock down
Our places of worship
I ask
How did we get blindsided
With no ease to our lives
Regardless of the protocols
I still wake up in fear
Because of sweeping numbers
Of people wheezing to their deaths
Your true colours
Are unpleasant to behold
Oh what a
