Papaye Fast Foods honours 800 students

Papaye Fast Foods Limited has honoured 810 pupils from 30 public and private basic schools for their academic performance in their respective schools.

Each of the students was presented with a branded T-shirt and education materials for their studies at the Papaye Excellence Awards, a ceremony dubbed “Papaye Our Day” for the pupils and students.

Addressing the students, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Papaye Fast Foods, Mr Divine Asiedu, said the selection of the award winners was based on a set of comprehensive assessment criteria by their schools, including reflective thinking, positive values as well as initiative and creativity.

“We wish to pledge our unflinching support for academic excellence and will continue to do anything within our means to encourage and reward academic excellence,” he said.

The Executive Chairman of Papaye Fast Foods Limited, Dr Samir Kalmoni, advised the pupils to listen to their parents because “they are more experienced.”

He added that parents had to be committed to their children’s growth and development by helping them with their school work.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, called on parents to make the progress of their children a priority.

He also urged the pupils to take their studies seriously.
