Dear Editor, It is sad that children do not like reading story books. This is because they are addicted to the Internet more than their books.
This is causing great to the lives of children. Children spend about four to six hours on the Internet more than on their books. Others leave their books aside and join bad companies who influence them to engage in immoral acts.
This can be stopped when parents monitor their children whenever they are using the Internet. Parents can also help by buying more story books for their children, as well as downloading reading applications for them on their devices.
Furthermore, every school should ensure that there is a library period on the timetable in order to improve the habit of reading among young learners.
