Simon Zibo, captain of Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals, has completed a move to Portuguese top-flight side Vitória Guimarães SC.
A statement from the club read: ”Vitória Sport Clube, Futebol reports that it has reached an agreement with the athlete Simon Zibo. The 21-year-old Ghanaian defender has signed a contract valid until 2021, with another season of choice, and will be a reinforcement of the Victorian team B.”
Zibo signed the deal after passing a mandatory medical test.
He is a member of the national Under-23 team but will miss the upcoming clash against Algeria due to suspension.
He scored three goals in 13 appearances for Liberty Professionals during the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season.
Before he joined the Portuguese club, he was linked to several local clubs including Accra Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
