Ghana's defender, Rashid Sumaila, says he is happy to join Serbian outfit, Red Star Belgrade, after signing for the club on a season long loan deal.
Sumaila, 25, signed for his new side after passig his medical on Tuesday and will be hoping to meet with his new teammates in pre-season.
The former Asante Kotoko player thanked everyone for the support as he looked to grab this new opportunity.
In a tweet, the Ghanaian wrote "Thank u Allah for giving me this new opportunity.. FK CRVENA ZVEZDA.. Am glad to be here.. tanx to each nd everyone for the prayers nd support.. TEAM RED STAR BELGRADE".
Sumaila is on loan from Kuwaiti club, Qadsia SC, where he joined in 2015.
