Accra Hearts of Oak have parted ways with goalkeeper Ernest Sowah and defender Yusif Alhassan.

“Goalkeeper Ernest Sowah and defender Yusif Alhassan have both been released from the club. We wish the two players the best of luck in their careers going forward,” the club announced via Twitter.

Sowah formerly of Berekum Chelsea and Kumasi Asante Kototo joined Hearts during the 2017/2018 season.

Alhassan, who was promoted from the club’s youth side Auroras last season, has also been released.

Both players rarely make the team’s 18 players on match days since they were recruited. The Phobians severed ties with the players after they failed to impress the technical handlers of the club.

Hearts of Oak are preparing for next season and looking forward to ending the 10-year trophy drought.
