Accra Hearts of Oak have released experienced midfielder Malik Akowuah, following the expiration of his three-year contract.
Per a statement on the club’s Twitter handle, management chose the option to end their union with the player as they seek to give opportunity to other available talents.
“Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has taken the option not to renew the contract of midfielder Malik Akowuah following the expiration of his three-year deal at the club.”
”We thank him for his professional service to the club and wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” the statement read.
Akowuah joined Hearts of Oak from Medeama Sporting Club in 2016 following his exploits with the Tarkwa-based side during the 2015/2016 league season.
