Former Dreams FC captain Leonard Owusu together with Samuel Alabi and Montari Kemeheni on Monday travelled with the rest of the FC Ashdod squad for their pre-season camp in Slovenia.
The trio posted a photo of their trip on social media earlier this week.
While Owusu joined the Israeli side in June 2018 on a three-year deal, Alabi and Montari were recruited on a season-long loan deal each in the ongoing transfer window. Ashdod however, have an option to make their move permanent at the end of the season.
Both Alabi and Montari featured prominently for the Dawu-based club during the just-ended GFA Normalisation Committee Tier 1 Special Competition.
They gained promotion to the first team two seasons ago from Still Believe FC, the youth side of Dreams FC.
On the other hand, Owusu was instrumental in the club’s successes during the last three seasons as he led the team twice to seal qualification to the Premier League.
The midfield gem also led Dreams FC to win the 2018 off season GHALCA G8 Tournament title after scoring the winning goal against Accra Hearts of Oak at the Cape Coast Stadium.
While with Dreams FC, Owusu played 10 games and scored five goals with five assists.
The Ghanaian trio are expected to play a huge role in the fortunes of the Israeli club in the upcoming season.
