Ernestina Abambila anxious to start work at new club

Ghanaian midfielder Ernestina Abambila says she cannot wait to start work at her new club Sporting Huelva after joining them on Monday, January 20.

The ex-Black Princesses player joined the Spanish Women’s League side from Swedish club Assi IF at an undisclosed fee.

“Trust the process. New Team. New Challenge. I can’t wait to get it started. Sporting Huelva,” she posted on her Twitter account.

The 21-year-old football star once played for FC Minsk in Belarus where she participated in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

She also had stints with Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, Assi IF in Sweden, Mississippi Valley State University and Youngstown State University in the United States.

Ernestina featured for Ghana at the U-17 and U-20 levels and recently the national senior women’s. team, Black Queens.

She becomes the second Ghanaian to join Sporting Huelva after former Ampem Darkoa forward Princella Adubea, who joined in July, 2019.
