Reigning Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year Asisat Oshoala annexed her seventh club title on Sunday, February 2020, after helping Barcelona Femení to win the maiden Spanish Women’s Super Cup.
Oshoala scored a brace as Barcelona thrashed Real Sociedad 10-1 in the Women's Super Cup competition in Salamanca.
The 25-year-old forward who led the attack for Barcelona scored the fourth and seventh goal of the game in the 34th and 50th minutes respectively.
The match ended 10-1for Barcelona to hand Oshoala her first trophy in Spain. The Super Cup is the seventh title she has won in her club career.
Seven club titles
The Super Falcons star won the Nigeria Women’s League titles with Rivers Angels in 2014 and 2013. At Arsenal Ladies she won the Women’s FA Cup in 2016 before winning two league titles with Chinese Super League side Dalian Quanjian in 2017 and 2018.
Barcelona are currently top of the Primera Division as they seek their first league title in five years and face Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
She joined Barcelona on a loan deal in January 2019 from Dalian Quanjian before signing a permanent deal with the club five months later.
