Ashantigold SC midfielder Richard Djodi has joined Tanzania top flight side Azam FC on a three-year deal.
Dodzi took to his Twitter handle to express appreciation to the management of Ashantigold, team mates and the supporters for the cordial relationship they enjoyed throughout the two seasons that he played for the club.
“Thank you to the whole family of Ashantigold SC for these two past seasons, thank you to all the fans and especially thank you to this country that accepted me as one of his sons. Thank you to all my teammates for their messages and support. God bless you,” he tweeted.

Azam FC will be representing Tanzania in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup and the inclusion of Djodi is expected to enhance their chances during the campaign.
Djodi previously played for Guinea premiership side AC Horoya and AC Leopards of Mali respectively.
The gifted midfielder was on the radar of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and was close to joining them on a free transfer after his contract with the Miners expired.
