Ghana international Bright Addae has been honoured by Italy-based Pichio Village Sports Centre for his role in supporting the needy and less privileged in society through his Bright Addae Foundation.
The versatile midfielder was presented with the “Ascoli De Vivera” as an honorary award while his team mate Amato Cicerti received the Siamo Ascoli Award.
The pair played varying roles in their respective countries with Bright Addae supporting a number of projects in his native country, Ghana.
A statement from Ascoli Picchio highlighted the contributions of the two players on and off the pitch as they continue to give back to society.
Portions of the citation presented to them read: "For having shown commitment, respect and love for the city of Ascoli Piceno and giving back to society."
Addae remains an integral part in the set-up of Ascoli Picchio and has played a number of game in the current season despite a slow start to the campaign.
He was part of the national U-20 team that won gold at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Egypt under the tutelage of Coach Sellas Tetteh.
