Everest Cricket club last Sunday at the Achimota School Cricket Oval proved their mettle when they beat a determined Titans side by six wickets in a pulsating encounter in the ongoing Tri-team tournament.
Everest who showed they are Ghana’s best cricket team bowled in the first innings after losing the toss. However, a combination of smart bowling and forcing their opponent’s to wrong batting decisions restricted Titans to 96 runs all out in 26 overs.
After the first innings, Everest started their innings in earnest and quickly chased down the target in 18.1 overs, losing only four wickets.
The Titans team who complained about strange umpiring saw former national skipper Isaac Aboakye score 16 runs, the highest for his team on the day.
Everest's Michael Aboagye and debutant Kodidasu Bheema Naik both took three wickets apiece for their team. Titans was captained by Ghanaian International Mark Bawa.
Everest who are currently atop the tournament table with two points from a single match are followed closely by Titans who also
have two points from two games
Kyebi Leopards who lost their first game to Titans have zero points and will play Everest this Sunday at the Achimota School Cricket Oval A
