Sapholda League Champions, Exchequers of Bank of Ghana, took bogey side, Police Men, to the cleaners by thrashing them 4-0 in their Sapholda knockout encounter at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium on Saturday October 22.

The victory, recorded in a grand style in the last match of the day, was masterminded by the Akaba brothers, Elikem and Elorm, and perfectly executed by Samuel Mensah and Emmanuel Ankomah.

It was  Elikem Akaba who opened the floodgates  for Exchequers early in the first quarter of the match as Exchequers continued to attack Police, but it was not until midway in the third quarter that Elorm Akaba tore the defence of Police apart to increase the tally with a beautiful goal.

Mensah and Ankomah, who played a good game, added their names to the score sheet in the last quarter to silence Police Men who had been a thorn in the flesh of Exchequers this season.

In the other matches, GRA Men went on the rampage with a 9-0 victory over Legon Knights to set a date with Exchequers in the next round of matches on Saturday.

The ladies division saw Royal Ladies of GRA sharing the points with Police Ladies in a 0-0 draw, with Extinguishers Ladies reforming Reformers Ladies with a 2-1 victory.

The Masters division saw Multistix playing a real masters game to defeat Citizens 2-0, with Golden Sticks outplaying Sapholda before dismissing them with a 2-0 victory .

At  the Youth level, Kasoa Heroes played a determined game but fell 0-1 to Real Ambassadors.
