Ghana’s only American National Football League (NFL) award winner, Ezekiel Ansah, will lead a pack of over 200 young students in an American football training camp on Saturday.
The one-day training school slated for the Presbyterian Boys (Presec Legon) School park will see participants being trained on the basic rules which govern the NFL.
The training school will see the former Presec student who plies his trade with Seattle Seahawks engaging the players in a competition of their own.
Speaking to Graphic Sports Online on Thursday afternoon, Ansah, popular known as “Ziggy”, said “American football is as interesting as the football we play in Ghana and even much more exciting when the competition is intense.”
He noted that the primary aim of this exercise is to grow American football in Ghana and use it to encourage the young ones to live a healthy lifestyle and make physical education a priority.
This is the third edition of the wonder programme which is an annual affair.
The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and the highest professional level of American football in the world.
