Jordan Anagblah Cup: Emmanuel FC face Hope for Future in semis today

Emmanuel FC will battle it out with Hope for Future at the Nania Park

Four Division Two clubs will battle it out in the semi-final of the maiden Jordan Anagblah Memorial Cup on Saturday, May 11 at the Nania Park at Legon.

The teams – Patron SC, Police Nationals, Emmanuel FC and Hope for Future secured tickets to the semi-finals after crunchy quarter-final ties played last Wednesday at the various centres across the Greater Accra Region.

While Patron SC will face Police Nationals in the first semi-final game on Saturday, Emmanuel FC will settle scores with Hope for Future at the same venue.

Emmanuel FC secured the semi-final berth after defeating BHOG 2-1 last Wednesday at the Nungua Town Park while Hope for Future made it at the expense of Golden Kicks FC after beating them 1-0 also on Wednesday.

For their part, Police Nationals and Patron SC qualified after defeating Charity Stars and Miracle FC respectively.

The winner of the competition will receive GH₵1,500 as cash prize, trophy and souvenirs, first runners-up will take home GH₵1000 with souvenirs while the third place team will receive GH₵500.

The competition, organised by friends and colleagues of the late football administrator and coordinated by Mr Eugene Jacquaye, began with 64 Division Two clubs in the Greater Accra Region.

The tournament, sponsored by Nii Cudjoe and Associates law firm, is meant to honour Jordan Anagblah who held several positions in Ghana football until his untimely demise in 2012.
