CAF Confed Cup: Akonnor names Habib, Teguy in starting XI for ZESCO clash

Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Charles K Akonnor has handed debut starts to Ivorian Dang Zabo Teguy and Habib Mohammed as they face ZESCO United in Ndola, Zambia in their final Group C fixture of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.

Teguy replaces suspended Songne Yacouba in the make or break clash in Ndola. This will mark the first time the former Manzini FC striker will be featuring for Kotoko since he joined in January.

Coach Akonnor also named Habib Mohammed to start ahead of Martin Antwi, who started in their 1-1 draw with Al Hilal last week at home.

Daniel Darkwah will continues to impress at the left back and captain Amos Frimpong will defend on the right side.

The centre back pair of Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Wahab Adams remain unchanged as well as midfield duo Umar Bashir and Kwame Bonsu.

Kotoko need a win to advance from Group C which has Nkana FC and Sudanese side Al Hilal in contention.
