After scoring Liverpool's third goal in the thrilling Carabao Cup 5-5 draw against Arsenal, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed that he found it hard to contain himself after his strike.
Chamberlain followed up his brace against Genk in the Champions League by scoring against his former side after suffering a knee injury that kept him out for almost a year.
Liverpool trailed 3-1 and 4-2 but produced a stunning response to level the match at 5-5 in the 95th minute, before prevailing 5-4 in a penalty shootout in front of the Kop.
The 26-year-old took to Twitter to send a classy message to Arsenal fans, "Really proud of the team tonight, especially the young boys and how we all kept going right until the end!
"Anfield atmosphere unbelievable as always! Hard not celebrate that one, but all respects to my former club."
