Great Olympics Board Chairman calls for unity on club’s 66th anniversary

The Board Chairman of Accra Great Olympics, Mr Amarkai Amarteifio, appealed to all stakeholders in the club to stay united and direct their energies and resources at the success of the club.

In a statement to mark the 66th anniversary of the club on Tuesday April 21, Mr Amarteifio wished the Olympics faithful a happy anniversary and reiterated the importance of unity among the Olympics family as key to the success of the club.

“Today April 21, marks the 66th anniversary of the founding of Accra Great Olympics. While asking for God’s blessings for the souls of our great founders, I wish to use the occasion to wish our playing body, technical team, directors, management and our loyal supporters a happy anniversary.

“I ask all family members of Olympics to stay united and focus only on issues that will enhance the fortunes of the Wonder Club,” he said.

Mr Amarteifio advised the Olympics faithful to keep safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accra Great Olympics are one of the traditional clubs in the Premier League

 “My advice to them is to keep safe and to take good care of themselves by observing all the safety measures of the government in these difficult days of COVID-19.”

Olympics, Ghana league champions in 1970 and 1974, and three-time FA Cup winners, remain one of the oldest traditional clubs in the Ghana Premier League.
