Black Queens coach, Bashir Hayford, has named his final squad for the upcoming Afrca Women’s Cup of Nations which is slated for Accra and Cape Coast from November 17 to December 1.
The 21-member squad excludes star players, Sandra Owusu-Ansah and Elizabeth Hagan, who were dropped after picking up injuries last week.
The squad includes Black Princesses duo of Philicity Asuako and Grace Asantewaa who were promoted after their brilliant performance at this year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France .
Hayford showed faith in experienced goalkeepers, Patricia Mantey, Fafali Dumahisi and Nana Ama Asantewaa, with Samira Suleman and Priscilla Okyere also making the squad.
Ghana will face Algeria in their Group A opener at the Accra Stadium before taking on Mali and Cameroun in the other group matches.
Defending champions Nigeria, South Africa, Equatorial Guinea and Zambia will slug it out in Group B at the Cape Coast Stadium.
