Bologna FC head coach, Sinisa Mihajlovic, is ready to give Ghanaian enforcer Godfred Donsah another opportunity to impress and stay at the club.
The Ghana youth international was shipped on loan to Belgian outfit Cercle Brugge last summer for adequate playing time but he had reverted to his Bologna as the Pro Jupiler League came to an end over the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Bologna-based sports portal, tuttobolognaweb, the club's Serbian head coach, Mihajlovic, is eager to give the 23-year-old Ghanaian another opportunity at pre-season after which a decision will be taken if he will go on loan again or stay with the team.
Donsah was onetime the engine of Bologna and was courted by top Serie A sides Inter Milan, Napoli and AS Roma before varying degrees of injury hampered his progress.
He made 20 appearances in all competitions for Cercle Brugge as they finished 14th with 23 points in the Belgian topflight.
The budding defensive midfielder is also on the radar of newly-promoted Serie A club Lecce who are in the market looking for destructive anchor.
Donsah previously played for Palermo, Hellas Verona as well as Cagliari and was part of the Ghana Black Satellites team which reached the second round of the 2015 Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
