Head coach of the Black Stars, James Kwasi Appiah, has named a 24-man squad to face the Harambee Stars of Kenya in their final Group F game of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 23.

Five players, including Joseph Aidoo and Caleb Ekuban were handed their maiden call ups as Appiah seeks to monitor them ahead of naming his final squad for the AFCON tournament to be staged in Egypt.

Skipper Asamoah Gyan was dropped from the list following a series of inactivity for his club Kayserispor in Turkey.

The squad which includes three players from Asante Kotoko, begins camping on March 18.

The Black Stars are second on the Group F table with six points, one point behind leaders Kenya. A win at home will see them lead the table.
