An Accra Circuit Court 10 judge, Mrs Evelyn Asamoah, has granted boxer Patrick Allotey bail to a sum of GH¢100,000 with three sureties.

The boxer, 29, who assaulted one Michael Siaw at the Accra Sports Stadium on January 26, pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing harm.

The prosecutor, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Harligah, after reading the charge, sided with counsel for Allotey to grant him bail.

Allotey was ordered to deposit his passport at the court registry while his three sureties must have two public servants all not earning less than GH¢1500.

The former WBO Africa Super welterweight champion must also report to the police once every week.

The case was adjourned to February 25.

A world title hopeful, Allotey was captured on camera allegedly battering the complainant, Michael Siaw, after an argument.

He has subsequently apologised to his victim and the Ghanaian populace.
