CONFIRMED: Isaac Dogboe to defend his title against Hidenori Otake in Arizona

Isaac Dogboe and Hidenori Otake set to slug it out on August 25

 

Ghana's undefeated boxer, Isaac Dogboe's first defence of his WBO Super Bantamweight title against Japanese fighter, Hidenori Otake, has been confirmed to take place in Glendale, Phoenix, Arizona on August 25.

Dogboe alias Royal Storm (19-0, 13 KOs), is billed to take on the experience Japanese in a fight which will be promoted by Top Rank in partnership with ESPN.

The Ghanaian has been looking forward to his first title defence having knocked out Jessie Magdaleno in round 11 to snatch the crown from the

Mexican last April and Otake (31-2-3, 13 KOs) will be hoping to defeat the Ghanaian.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian, who has called on other champions in the super bantamweight division for unification bouts will be hoping to defend his belt successfully in order to fight WBA titleholder, Danny Roman by the end of the year.

Dogboe is currently on vacation in the United Kingdom where he is expected to commence preparation for his upcoming bout against Otake.
