St. Gallen defender Musah Nuhu is expected to be sideline for seven months following a successful knee surgery in Switzerland.
Nuhu sustained a left knee ligament injury during a training session with the Black Stars in Dubai ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations stage in Egypt.
The 22 year old defender underwent a successful surgery at Berit Clinic in Switzerland on Tuesday.
But information emanating from his camp indicates the former WAFA captain will be away from active football for seven months pending treatment.
Nuhu earned his debut call-up to the Black Stars ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations but failed to make the final list to the tournament due to the injury.
