Nana Yaa releases E Go Be
After backing great musicians like Kojo Antwi, Sonnie Badu, Osibisa and the Western Diamonds, singer Nana Yaa is finally out with her debut single E Go Be.
E Go Be is a true life story of Nana Yaa whose seven-year-old relationship breaks down and she also loses one of her favourite uncles.
Nana Yaa uses E Go Be to console herself that it will be alright despite the difficulties she is going through.
E Go Be rendered in Pidgin, English and Ga, projects her sense of Africanism that she’s always been known for.

Nana Yaa can never go wrong with her voice and she did it once again on her latest song. Her soothing voice coupled with a cool beat by Kwame Yeboah of ObY band, makes the song an awesome one.
Although E Go Be is not danceable, the lyrics are comforting and will certainly serve as a soothing balm for anyone going through a difficult time.
Speaking in an interview with Showbiz, Nana Yaa , daughter of iconic highlife singer, Pat Thomas said the song aims at bringing peace and fulfillment in the lives of people. “ Whatever one is going through, it is just a phase and it will be well. It is just a matter of time”, she said.
She released the video of E Go Be at a special press event at the +233 Jazz Club in Accra.
The video, which was directed by Stanley Adjetey, captures some beautiful scenes in Ghana.
She added that she has come to stay after backing so many musicians for so many years. “I know my fans might be disappointed in me for now coming out with a single but I promise them I have finally arrived and the wait is over” she said.
