“I do” in 70 tones
It was a beautiful sight to behold when thirty five couples decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day last Thursday with the solemnization of their marriages at the Happy FM Mass wedding held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Known to be the biggest interdenominational mass wedding in the country, the programmetook off on the wings of a music performance by Adwoa Sarfoa, Daughters of Glorious Jesus and the Presbyterian mass choir. Later there were other performances by Grace Ashy, Nicholas Omane Acheampong and Nana Perbi.
When the soon-to-be missus brides arrived in their beautiful white gowns were met halfway by the grooms who took them to their respective seats amidst cheers from the audience.
After the couples had gone through their “I dos”, the officiating Minister, Rev. Dr. Arthur Mensah, advised them to view marriage as a lifelong union of both body and mind.

Highlighting the importance of the ceremony, the Managing Director of Global Media Alliance, Mr. Ernest Boateng noted that “Valentine's day is not only about love, it's about sharing and caring. This is why we are sharing in the day of these beautiful couples and show them and the Ghanaian community at large that we care “
The General Manager of Happy FM, Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah described that the HAPPY FM mass wedding which was borne out of commitment and passion to impact positively on the society is the biggest celebration of love in Africa.
He expressed his appreciation to partners who have helped in sustaining the event since its inception in 2004.
This year's ceremony was sponsored by Cake Techniks, 2nd Image, Danny's Décor and Bridal Home, Aliquah Home of Fashions, Royal VVIP Transport, Bel - Aqua, A E House of Suit, Cleaver house and Erata Hotel.
