Hit-Maker goes on air

Becca Simons and Ofie KodjoeThe first episode of this year’s MTN Hit-Maker show was telecast on Metro TV, Skyy TV, Multi TV and GTV last Sunday, August 4.

Produced by Farmhouse, the episode brought viewers some of the funny moments during the auditioning stage of the competition. There have been reactions in social media, mostly Twitter, to the episode.

One viewer tweeted “Hit-Maker made my day.” Another tweet was “I’m feeling Hit-Maker. Can’t stop laughing.” Someone else’s take was “Gotta see the  doctor tomorrow. I think I broke my ribs laughing.”

Ivan Quashigah, CEO of Farmhouse said they have noticed the mostly favourable comments on the programme and hoped to keep it as interesting as possible till the very final show.

Meanwhile, the 12 finalists in the contest move into the Hit-Maker house at East Legon in Accra on Sunday, August 11.

They are Abigail Antwi, Albert Buabeng, Stephen ‘Kofi Korea’  Kim, Olevya Aba, Fiifi Sey Armah, Priznerz (Duo), Jamilatu Mohammed, Miguel Oduro Daniels, Nana Adobea, Hussein Musah, Koo Ntakara and Gilbert Bossu.

The competition’s judges Ofie Kodjoe, Bessa Simons and Zapp Mallet and other specialists will take them through aspects of the music business while they continue to work in the studio with the assigned producer/engineers.

The MTN Hit-Maker II airs on  Sundays at 8.30pm on Metro TV, Skyy TV, Multi TV and GTV.
