Highlife night with Ben Brako

Some sweet highlife vibes  will fill the atmosphere at  the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill in Accra on Saturday, January 18 when Bessa Simons and the Bessa Band, Ben Brako and Felix Owusu take turns to entertain patrons.

The venue’s  policy for a while now, has been  to  bring on music that appeals to wide spectrum of people. What it means is that those that tilt toward jazz can have their fill while the highlife, R&B and hiplife-oriented folks can also have their days at different times.

The acts for Saturday’s gig know each other very well. They all even featured at a show on the Spintex Road in Accra not too long ago and seem to have collectively fashioned out which highlife pieces  get the fans to dance.

Guitarist, Sir Alfred Young is the featured artiste at +233 tomorrow, Friday 17. He is one of the boldest players in the system and has his own following with his bluesy and rock approaches.
