Weekly market review - October 14, 2022

Inflation climbed higher to 37.20% in August (August 2022: 33.90%). Inflation rate has surge 195.24% since the beginning of year to date.

Ghana Stock Exchange

The Ghana Stock Exchange lost grounds during the week under review after recording one gainer and one loser. Trust Bank Gambia Ltd rose 4.17% to GHS0.50, whereas GCB Bank PLC
lost 1.25% to GHS3.95.

The GSE Composite index as a result lost 0.89 points, bringing its index-point total to 2,460.44 (YTD: -11.79%). The Financial Index also fell 1.61 points to 2,068.16 index points (YTD change: -

3.89%). During the week, a total volume of 3.55 million shares estimated at a value of GH¢59.62 million were traded in twenty-four (24) equities
