tigo Challenge launched

The 6th Edition of the tigo educational initiative, dubbed the Challenge, has been launched in Accra with a call on Ghanaians, especially young graduates, to take advantage of innovations to develop their talents.

The programme has for the past years given Ghanaian graduates the opportunity to perform well in diverse roles in telecommunications, law and banking as well as sharing the knowledge with their peers and others in their communities.

Addressing the launch at a ceremony in Accra, the Head of Marketing, tigo Ghana, Mr Jesse Agyepong, said the company was committed to empowering the youth and giving them the opportunity to achieve their dreams.

According to him, throughout the sponsorship, tigo had created a pool of future leaders and professionals in Ghana who were passionate, innovative and determined to succeed and become very influential in the economic development of the country.

He said the programme had created the platform to identify talents from the various universities across the country.

Mr Agyepong said the decision to sponsor the programme was based on the commitment to enable brilliant young Ghanaians to access world-class education.

According to him, the 13 weeks of intensive, innovative and ambitious tasks would increase competition, influence change and make a difference in the respective communities and the country at large.

He commended partners of the programme, including the British Council and Charter House, for their immense contribution over the years.
