Sekyere Rural Bank holds AGM

SEKYERE Rural Bank Limited has held its annual shareholder’s meeting at Jamasi.

 

The chairman of the board of directors of the bank, Mr Sarfo Adjei, said despite the economic downturn, robust financial service market, globalisation, convergence, technological advancement and competition, the bank returned a profit of GH¢1,119,119.29 before tax.

He said to ensure the interest and welfare of the shareholders, the management of the bank had recommended a dividend of GH¢0.0045 per-share to its shareholders.

The Head of Operations of ARB Apex Bank, Mr M. O. Donkor, said there was serious competition in the banking industry hence the need for the rural banks to adopt innovative and flexible banking practices to face the challenges in the industry.
