Odotobri Rural Bank to roll out ATM service

The Odotobri Rural Bank Limited at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region is to roll out ATM services at all the 10 branches of the bank, the CEO, Mr Siaka Ahmed Baaba, has hinted.

According to him, the bank had overgrown its customer base, hence the board’s decision to devise a strategy to ease pressure at the various banking halls as well as give customers flexibility access to services of the bank.

Mr Ahmed said “We are poised to pursue policies aimed at maximising our profits and giving exceptional customer satisfaction,” and added, “We also need to ensure that shareholders’ investments are very well managed to yield the desired returns”.

The bank posted a net profit of GH¢2.5 million in  2013 as against a little over GH¢1.6 the previous year.

This represents a growth of 56.94  per cent during the period under review.

The bank recorded a total deposit of about GH¢39 million as against a little over GH¢33.8 million in the previous year, representing 15 per cent growth.

That, the bank explained, was due to the intensified mobilisation drive pursued by directors and management, coupled with the ever-increasing public confidence in the operations of the bank.

The directors of the bank recommended a dividend payment of GH¢0.0045 per share for the year under review to shareholders.

The total dividend proposed for the period is GH¢452,627.52, which represents 20 per cent of the total net profit for the 2013 financial year.
