Minimie Chinchin at your doorstep
Households in the national capital are having a bite of the newly introduced Minimie Chinchin, as the House of Indomie takes the product to as many homes as possible.
Minimie Chinchin locally called ‘Atsↄmɔ’ is a sweet crunchy donut-like baked wheat dough, usually kneaded and cut into small squares and comes handy as a snack for all ages. Minimie Chinchin was introduced on the Ghanaian market a couple of months back.
“Chinchin (locally named as atsↄmↄ), in spite of it being a local delicacy, was not prepared and bagged under any hygienic conditions, discouraging many people from patronising it. Hence, the House of
Indomie, came up with the same local delicacy by the use of modern production technology and meeting all the quality standards”, Mr Manish Goyal, Head of Sales & Marketing, explained.

‘Since its inception, Minimie Chinchin Team has tried reaching many homes in the capital city with the idea of giving each household a taste and an experience of this new atsↄmↄ at no cost. The team has already covered more than 200,000 households in Accra and will continue until all suburbs are covered’, Mr Goyal added.
During an interview, few of the households who were given a pack said they enjoyed this tasty and crunchy age-old delicacy, which now comes neatly packaged. A middle-aged woman, Auntie Afia, said the Minimie Chinchin tasted very much the same as the atsↄmↄ she knew growing up as a child and hoped that many other local delicacies would also be packaged.
Mr Goyal said, “this exercise is really important for us and we want to create a bond with our consumers not only by reaching them but also to have their feedback and work on them. We believe that in every relation there has to be a two-way communication and a company-consumer relation is the most important one. Hence, we are confident that Minimie Chinchin will soon become a household name just like Indomie Instant Noodles” — GB
