Let’s unite to build Ghana — Lakeside MD

An end-of-year get-together was organised for workers of the Lakeside Estates Limited in Accra Sunday.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Prince David Ayiku, the Managing Director of the companyt called on Ghanaians to put their efforts and ideas together in order to build the country. 

He also appealed to Ghanaians to put their political affiliations aside and assist in whatever way possible to help in the development of the country, as it is the only country we have.  

According to the MD, the founder of IBM, Thomas J. Watson, once said “to be successful, you have to have your heart in your business, your business in your heart”, adding that it is the heart that brings the fire of creativity to bear on the day-to-day business operations and that it is the same heart that inspires drive, as well as the primary driver of optimal human performance. 

He said for Ghana therefore to be successful, all citizens must have their heart in Ghana and Ghana in their heart in whatever task they would be assigned in 2014. 

He advised the staff to do whatever task assigned to them with their heart, as this would result in excellence and growth for mother Ghana.

He noted that it was the heart that brought loyalty and innovative brilliance, adding that  “we must have God in our heart and that will make us productive and a better people”.

Mr Ayiku said a philosopher once said that “none of us can do it better than all of us; we must work together as a team to achieve our goals for the various sectors of the economy for 2014”.  

The MD advised Ghanaians to pray continually for themselves, families, businesses and mother Ghana and by so doing God would see us through 2014. 

“Let us all as a nation pray for people in authority so that they will be able to take decisions which will bring growth and development to mother Ghana.”
