GTBank opens 2 new branches

The Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has opened two additional branches at Ring Road and Baatsona in Accra to cater for the banking convenience of customers in those areas.

The two branches bring to 26, the total number of GTBank outlets operating in the country.

A statement from the company said construction of the branches had been expedited to open around the Christmas and New Year periods to help provide additional locations to free up queues and shorten waiting times at other locations.

“Branches are intended to provide the same comfort and ambiance typical of all GTBank branches. They offer full universal banking services for customers and non-customers alike,” the statement added.

It said they would operate normal retail, commercial and SME banking services, as well as offer money transfer services such as Vigo, Western Union, MoneyGram, RIA and Immedi8.

It added that G-cash, the domestic platform which allowed customers and non-customers to send and receive money at any GTBank branch nationwide, and  GTMT (Guaranty Trust Money Transfer), which was for both inward and outward remittances across West Africa, were also available at these locations.

It said the Ring Road branch is equipped with a 24-hour ATM that accepts Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Cirrus and China Union Pay cards.
