Golden Pride to meet financial needs of SMEs
The Managing Director of Golden Pride Savings and Loans Limited, Mr Johnson Boasi Asamoah, has pledged the commitment of the company to provide the financial needs of salaried workers, susu operators and artisans as well as businesses such as SMEs, mining and corporate institutions.
According to him, it is against this background that the company has carved specific innovative products such as the Sikafutoro Savings, Nfitiase Accounts (akin to susu), Royal Save, Precious Kidz account, alongside the traditional banking products to meet the needs of its clients.
Speaking at the official opening of the third branch of Golden Pride Savings and Loans Ltd in Tarkwa on February 27, he gave the assurance that Golden Pride would be seen in all parts of the country within a short time, adding that: “the board, management and staff are poised to see it become a fully fledged universal bank within four years.”
The Board Chairman of GMWU, Mr Prince William Ankrah, said Golden Pride was a carefully thought-through initiative of GMWU, purposed to offer competitive banking products as well as financial advisory support to its clients, particularly within and around the mining communities.
He stated that the board of GMWU found the disparaging gap between the urban and rural settings worrisome, and it was for this reason that the promoters of Golden Pride thought it prudent to site their head office in Obuasi rather than the traditional business hubs of Accra and Kumasi.
