Dr Wampah confirmed as Governor of BoG

Acting governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Henry Kofi Wampah has been confirmed as Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

Accra based radio station, Joy FM reports that a source in Government confirmed it

Dr. Wampah until his appointment acted as governor after substantive Governor was elevated to become Vice President of Ghana last year.

He was appointed as first deputy governor of the central bank of Ghana in April 2009.

Dr. Wampah holds a Masters Degree and a Ph.D in Economics from McGill University, Montreal Canada
