CAL Bank gives GH¢12,000 to orphanages

CAL Bank has presented a cheque for GH¢12,000 to some selected orphanages as part of its  activities to mark the Christmas festivities in Accra.

The orphanages are the Tema SOS, Osu Children’s Home, Teshie Orphanage, Neglected Foster Home, Village of Hope and Orphanage International.

Presenting the cheque, Mr Kwame Boafo, Head of Human Resource at CAL Bank, said that the support was to give to the destitute and the abandoned in society and also put smiles on their faces as the year comes to an end.

According to him, the event, which is held annually, has created a platform for beneficiaries to improve upon their education and social lives. 

Mr Samuel Ayensu, a staff member of the Village of Hope, expressed appreciation to the bank for the support, and gave the assurance that the money would be used for the intended purpose.
