ASA embarks on branch expansion
The Accra North Regional Manager of ASA Savings and Loans Limited, Mr Mohammed Ashraf Ali, has given a hint of plans to open 15 more branches to increase the company’s branch network.
The expansion is to help meet the demands of their over 118,000 clients with respect to loan acquisition and other social intervention programmes.
At a health screening organised for customers of the company in Koforidua, Mr Ashraf Ali said the company was gradually expanding its customer base across the country and added that “currently, 93 branches were operational in four regions, namely Eastern, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and the Greater Accra, with additional 15 branches to be opened soon.”
Health screening
About 250 customers in Koforidua benefitted from the health screening which was to help them access free health care and know their health status.
Customers were screened for malaria, high level of glucose, blood pressure, eye test, cholesterol and other health conditions.
Mr Ashraf Ali said the screening formed part of the company's corporate social responsibility.
He mentioned health, sports and education as the company's three key areas of social interventions for their customers and branch areas from time to time.
He noted that such exercises were timely because it helped to alleviate the stress of the vulnerable in the society.
The Koforidua Zongo Branch Manager of ASA Savings and Loans Limited, Mr Watson Agordo, advised customers to take advantage of such exercises to help improve their health status.
He said ASA Savings and Loans Limited was committed to the well-being of its customers and assured them that it would continue to offer them with free services to improve their lives in diverse ways.
The Managing Director of Metason Clinic, Mr Unyime Nkanta, advised citizens to always check and know their health status through regular medical check-ups.
According to him, exercising regularly and eating a well-balanced diet according to one's blood group helped to improve people’s health.
