AFB rewards 10,000th card holder

Retail finance house, African Finance Business (AFB), has rewarded its 10,000th gold card holder with a GH¢10,000 cash prize at a ceremony in Accra.

Mrs Grace Ofori, a nurse at the Kwahu Atibie Government Hospital, will also have a zero per cent interest on her next AFB Loan.

AFB, which is the first to introduce the ‘Reward Card’ programme in September last year in the financial sector, has so far issued its 10,000th card.

The ‘Rewards Card’ has major retail partners such as Melcom, which offer discounts on purchased goods to all AFB Reward Cards holders, which is also embedded with an accidental life cover.

 The accidental life cover allows the family of the card holders to benefit from GH¢ 2,000 for the funeral of the card holder who passes on.

Again, the card has the “Hello Doctor” mobile platform which offers free health advice and counselling to all AFB customers.

Mrs Ofori said "AFB has really surprised me. I always receive a discount any time I shop at Melcom which saves me money and I have never experienced this in my dealings with other financial providers except AFB".

The Managing Director of AFB Ghana, Mr Arnold Parker, gave the assurance that AFB would roll on more reward partners to enrich customer experience with the company.
