Access Bank to deepen financial inclusion
ACCESS Bank Ghana has rolled out a new campaign to encourage Ghanaians to make savings a part of their culture.
The campaign will reward those who will embrace the savings culture, with exciting incentives.
The campaign, dubbed, “Big Deal”, aims to encourage members of the public to sign up onto a range of flexible savings and current account options at the bank to secure their financial future.
Existing customers are also expected to improve their financial well-being by increasing their savings deposits.
A statement from the bank expressed its belief that by deepening engagement with the general public, including the unbanked and underserved segments of the market, the bank could support people to lift themselves out of poverty, create jobs for those around them and share in the economic growth of the country.
“Access Bank aims to put the power of banking into the hands of all consumers in this country and beyond. We desire to break down the structural and educational barriers that hinder access to banking,” the Group Head of Personal Banking at Access Bank Ghana, Mr Stephen Abban, was quoted as saying.
“Through the Big Deal campaign, we are giving Ghanaians more reasons to use savings as a tool for financial empowerment.”
The Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Mr Dolapo Ogundimu, said the bank appreciated the prevailing difficult times, so “we are helping both families and small business owners to secure their future through flexible savings and current account products that promote wealth creation.”
According to the bank, the promotion will span three months and highlight the importance of saving to the Ghanaian economy and its people, while giving consumers the chance to win various prizes.
The grand prize is a luxury home furnishing in addition to other household appliances such as flat screen televisions, washing machines, air-conditioners, refrigerators, microwave ovens, and food processors.
Existing and new customers are required to deposit GH¢200 into their account and grow their balances over the three-month period to join the expected 200 customers who will be rewarded with exciting prizes.
