13th Ghana Banking Awards postponed to Nov 1

The 13th edition of the prestigious Ghana Banking Awards originally slated for Saturday, September 13, 2014 has been postponed to Saturday, November 1, 2014.

The postponement is due to what the organisers of the awards, Corporate Initiative Ghana (CIG), described as “unanticipated challenges”.

A release jointly signed by the Chief Host and Chairman of the Awards Planning Board, Nana Otuo Acheampong, and the Head of Programmes and Media of CIG, Mr Charles Benoni Okine, and issued in Accra, said “Members of the Technical Committee of the awards, made up of representatives of all the eligible banks and some sponsors, had been informed about the postponement at an emergency meeting held in Accra last Wednesday.”

It said, “CIG and its main collaborator, Graphic Communications Group Limited, remain committed to the awards and are working assiduously to ensure that the event comes off on the new date as announced.”
