Al Ahli to offer Asamoah Gyan mega contract

Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan is eyeing yet another mega contract in the United Arab Emirates with Al Ahli set to offer him a permanent contract after some impressive displays on his short loan stint from Shanghai SIPG.

Gyan during his short spell with Al Ahli has managed to dislodge the 2015 AFC Player of the Year Ahmed Khalil from the starting 11.

Footballmadeinghana.com reports that Khalil, has already been stripped of the captaincy for Lima and he has been benched many times with Gyan leading the attack of the Dubai Club.

Gyan has only nine-months left on his SIPG contract and his return to form in the Emirates has caught the eye of several teams in Europe and the Gulf Region.

However, Al Ahli has stolen a march on the competition by finalising personal terms with the Black Stars captain with a view to making the loan deal permanent..

Gyan is likely to be sold in January with Al Ahli expected to buy him out of contract from Shaghai SIPG for a fee around $20million.
