Prioritise oral health - Citizens urged

The Managing Director of Unilever Ghana, George Owusu-Ansah, has urged the citizenry to prioritise oral health considering the vital role it plays in one's overall well-being.

Mr Owusu-Ansah explained that by prioritising oral health, one was investing in his or her entire body's health.

"It is important to visit a dentist at least twice a year and also brush your teeth in the morning and night. We firmly believe that preventive care is paramount in achieving and maintaining a healthy life.

"We are dedicated to equipping Ghanaians with the knowledge and resources necessary to prioritise their oral health," he said.

Mr Owusu-Ansah also added that his outfit would continue to champion the cause of oral health, ensuring that every Ghanaian could unlock the boundless opportunities to be healthy. He was speaking at the re-launch of Pepsodent Charcoal toothpaste in Accra recently.

Dental outreach

He added that it was for that reason that his firm partnered with the Ghana Dental Association (GDA) to organise countless dental outreach programmes.

"We provide free check-up treatments to underserved communities and launched teledentistry; a service that allows Ghanaians to have free online dental consultation," Mr Owusu -Ansah noted.

Furthermore, he said each year, they commemorated World Oral Health Day, underscoring the significance of maintaining good oral health practices and that this year would not be different.

Performance

He explained that the new and improved Pepsodent Charcoal toothpaste had a formula that was enriched with an enhanced stain removal performance and it guaranteed whiter teeth.

" We welcomed feedback from consumers and dedicated ourselves to refine and improve our formula. The result is our latest now 10 times more potent toothpaste, offering unmatched teeth whitening and breath freshness, with the inclusion of zinc,” Mr Owusu-Asah stated.

Commitment

For her part, the Oral Care Category Manager at Unilever Ghana, Vera Boadu, also noted that the reintroduction of Pepsodent Charcoal to the Ghanaian market reaffirmed her outfit's unwavering commitment to empower individuals to achieve optimal dental health.

"We are confident that this revolutionary toothpaste will empower you to achieve brighter smiles, fresher breath and a renewed sense of confidence. " We strive to provide products that are not only highly effective and affordable but also to address the unique oral health needs of its customers," she said.
